I'm Matt, founder of MJP Wellness Solutions.

I'm a Royal Navy veteran with a lifelong belief in the power of discipline, self-awareness and growth. From leading teams in high pressure environments, I've seen first-hand that stress and burnout aren't inevitable - they're preventable with the right mindset, tools, and support. I bring a practical, science-based approach that blends real-world leadership experience with modern wellbeing methods like Oxygen Advantage, to teams and individuals.

No quick fixes; just lasting change based on clarity, resilience and purpose.

My Story

In the beginning

Before I jumped into all my training on personal development, I lived with a fixed mindset - focused on coping rather than growing, managing stress instead of understanding it. I didn't see how much potential and purpose I was leaving untapped, or how different life could feel when you start working with yourself instead of against.

And then..

The turning point - a naval deployment far from home with no end in sight, away from my wife and kids. My career and duties owned me, and I had lost control of my direction, playing a role in another's plan. My son said 'daddy' for the first time to someone other than me at a family gathering, as I was in the far east. Everyday on autopilot, willing the time to pass. My wife suffered harder than I did, and my ceding control had affected those I had promised to love and care for. Something had to change, and that was me, and the time was past due.

My Breakthrough

I realised that if I wanted to serve others effectively, I had to take responsibility for managing my own stress and wellness. Leadership and service start with self-mastery - it might not be easy but it's possible. From then, I took ownership of my wellbeing so I could show up stronger, calmer, and more capable for those that rely on me.

Today

I turned inward and rebuilt from the ground up - studying NLP, hypnosis, and coaching to understand the mind, and I trained my body through the gym and yoga. I mastered my breath using the Oxygen Advantage method, which is foundational! I've since channelled that growth to help others - from the stressed and overwhelmed, to the anxious and the victims of workplace bullying, from athletes to professionals under pressure to perform. Stress, anxiety, and burnout are endemic to our culture, but it can be managed and overcome, and I can help. If you take the decision to own your wellness, anything is possible for you.

What I believe

  • Change starts with you; own it

  • Burnout is avoidable, not a badge of honour

  • You have untold potential; don't allow stress to deny it

  • Breathwork and hypnosis are science through and through, not woo-woo, not new-age, and not placebo

  • When you know that you are in control of your thoughts and reactions, everything changes. While you may not always be able to control external circumstances, you can shape your internal responses.

You Really Can Lead Well - and Live Well

We are all not that different.

Like everyone one else I've contended with stress. I've stumbled at times, and I've prevailed. I did the work, learned the science, lived the process. I discovered that with the right tools and mindset anyone can take control and protect their wellbeing. If your wellness is compromised, you're out. When you have it squared away, everything else is eminently achievable. And that's what I help others achieve today.
